The number of patients who have died due to causes related to the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus worldwide has exceeded one million. This is reported by the statistical portal Worldometer.

The main part of the dead falls on the United States — more than 204 thousand deaths were recorded there. The United States is followed by Brazil, India and Mexico, with the United Kingdom in fifth place.
Earlier, Rospotrebnadzor named the reasons for the increase in the incidence of coronavirus in Russia.
